SECRETARY REPORT: Minutes approved as presented.
TREASURER REPORT: Financial report was approved as presented.
4 FOR THE 4TH – you can register now at www.fourforthefourth.weebly.com – register before Friday in order to secure a race shirt. Registrations are on record pace so far! Volunteers are still needed. Arrive at Morrow’s Meadow by 7:30 if you can volunteer for the event.
YORKTOWN 4TH OF JULY FESTIVAL – The Chamber partners with Grand Grilling to Go to serve pork burgers at the festival, chamber members are needed to volunteer to serve food in one hour shifts, see Carolyn Grieves to sign up – Entertainment is 5:00 Reminisce Band followed by 8:00-10:15 Retro Chameleon and ending with the firework display.
TOWN UPDATE – Council meeting was last night. 3 façade grants were awarded to improve downtown store fronts.
GUEST SPEAKER – SCOTT SMALSTIG from MERIDIAN SERVICES – Scott gave his presentation of Why, What and How
MISCELLANEOUS NEWS/ANNOUNCEMENTS – Waters of Yorktown Fish Fry on July 3 from 4-6 pm RSVP to 759-7740; Town of Yorktown Fund Grants committee and the Community Foundation board approved $2000 to Yorktown Chamber Luminary Festival and $500 to YFD firefighters association; Buffy Grieves is retiring and closing Printing Creations at the end of the month; Yorktown JAA will host girls 12u state tournament July 12-15
