The Town of Yorktown also provides once-a-week curbside recycling collection for the Town residents. The recycling contractor provides each customer with a specially marked bin for recycling, which is available from the Town Hall. The following items should be placed in your blue recycling bin: Plastics (soda, milk, detergent, shampoo and small mouth bottles with a #1 or #2 on the bottom); Glass (clear, brown, green and blue glass bottles and jars in which food products are packaged); Paper (newspaper, brown grocery sacks), Cans (aluminum and bi-metal beverage cans, steel food/tin cans, empty aerosol cans).
